The Lion King. Cinderella. Toy Story.
What do all of these have in common? If you said “they are all animated” you are correct. Or if you said “they are all made by Disney” then you are also correct!
Probably what Disney is most well known for is their animated movies. What makes these movies so memorable though? And why do people keep watching them year after year?

One reason that I can think of to answer both of these questions is the art. Just think about it, animation is art! It may not be the kind you’re used to seeing in museums and galleries, but it is art one in the same.
For nearly 100 years Disney has been making billions of dollars through the art of animation; and here’s the wildest part yet, it all started with a mouse. Yep, you heard that right, a mouse.

Walt Disney’s own creation of Mickey Mouse is what started the billion dollar company that we all know and love today.
So just think, maybe that little doodle that you’ve been playing around with, or that idea that just seems to keep popping up in your brain will turn out to one day be as loved as Mickey Mouse. Who knows?

To finish on an inspirational note I’ll leave you with a quote from Mr. Disney himself.
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
